Renowned for being ‘cheap and cheerful’, we’d already heard quite a lot about WebHostingPad. We travelled over to their site to see what all of the fuss was about and the first thing that grabbed us was the price.
Starting at only $1.99 a month, we were shocked. And that got us wondering: How the heck are WebHostingPad able to charge that little amount and still thrive? Well, apparently, their client list is loyal, probably because of the quality of service they provide. Now, you might be thinking “yeah right! I bet they raise their prices after the first month!” That was our initial thought, but after looking over the website, they had this to say:
Price Lock Guarantee! Unlike other web hosting companies that advertise low initial costs, we will never raise your web hosting prices when renewal time comes.
Still, starting out only paying roughly 2 dollars a month is pretty good pricing in our opinion. Especially considering the fact that you get all of this:
- Free Domain Name
- Free setup
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Free site builder
- $200 worth of marketing credits (Google Adwords, Bing and Yahoo!)
The great thing is, is that if you hate their service or find that it’s not for you, WebHostingPad offers a 30 day money back guarantee. So any problems you find, you get all your money back, no trouble.
We did find something to complain about though: WebHostingPad‘s lack of SFTP (Secure FTP, basically). Now, if you don’t know what this is, allow us to explain. FTP is basically the transferring of files over the internet. Now as you may imagine, Secure FTP, or SFTP is…well, more secure. It prevents viruses from being included in the files or from being attacked on the way from one place to the next. Now, without this, the files you transfer are open to viruses, along with those files that you receive. That’s not good.
Another problem we found was that the marketing tool included with a subscription to WebHostingPad was only able to create mailing lists, which posed a problem. You need more marketing tools than that to get your website out their – what about SEO tools? So that means you might have to search around or pay some cash for some additional tools to get your site out in the open.
Still, overall we think WebHostingPad is a pretty good service provider. Check them out if you’re looking for someone cheap and cheerful.

It’s really cheap host and pretty stable. If you search for cheap alternative for you backlink network or something, this is the best choice. I wouldn’t recommend it for your money site as sometimes there are some short downtimes which may harm your incomes.
avoid very bad service dont understand any questions takes 20 emails or so before you get a half decent reply and only then do you need to repeat the whole process over again as they haven’t read any emails. They say they guarantee and give money back untrue be-careful you are warned if I had more time I could write a book about it.
