With Hostgator hosting over 7 million domains, it makes us wonder just how good they are. Is 7 million simply a made up number to make us go “ooh” and “wow” or is there actually something there?
We decided to find out.
We started with the Hostgator homepage, which we thought looked very flashy; colorful, eye-catching and interesting. All in all, good start.
Looking further into Hostgator, we started finding out about their services, and what the quality of those were:

They offer cheap rates, starting from $3.96 a month, which by our standards, is damn good pricing. We scrolled through tons of reviews, and found a general consensus about the quality of service that Hostgator provides. On the whole, people agree that Hostgator provides stable, secure and supported web hosting through and through.
They provide free website templates, $100 adword credit, full anytime support, and even a 45 day money-back guarantee. If that’s not good value for money, then we don’t know what is.
On their website, Hostgator provides help with all kinds of things, ranging from website creation and support, up to helping you switch from another web host provider to Hostgator. They also have a reseller option, where you can sell your own hosting, which is pretty good too.
One thing that Hostgator trumps other web hosts with is their offer of unlimited host domain. Yes, that’s right – you can store all of your websites, files etc on ONE account with Hostgator. That means no messing around with ten different accounts; everything is handily laid out for you, and each website is completely open and easy to access and edit.
Now for the drawbacks of Hostgator.
Well in all honesty, we actually don’t have a bad word to say about Hostgator! Recently they started offering discount codes, and cheap pricing, meaning they’re actually cheaper than a lot of other web hosts. Their tech support is first class, along with all their services.
In our opinion, Hostgator is one of the top dogs if you’re looking for a seriously good web host. Hostgator has everything you need, and if you ever get stuck, their on hand expert support will help you get through any problems you might face.
I don’t know what to say about them. They are cheap but I know few other which are cheap and better the HostGator.
